User Agreement

Welcome to CIG. By accessing our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern GID’s relationship with you. This site is under active development so terms and information within this agreement are subject to change and may not be complete or accurate. You agree to abide by this agreement to the extent enforceable by law. This agreement has been updated on 04/05/2025.

Changes to this agreement may be made with or without notice. You agree to review our terms of service for updates. By the continued use of our site, you agree to the terms described herein.

The terms ‘you’, ‘your’, ‘user’, or ‘subscriber’ refer to anyone agreeing or subject to these terms. ‘We’, ‘us’, or ‘our’ refer to cyberintelgroup.com and its owner. ‘Content’ means our posts, copy, logos, software, code, or any other digital information designed for consumption or use. ‘Platform’ means any component, subdomain, or address of cyberintelgroup.com. We are in the process of setting up a PO Box for comments, requests, concerns, or other mail.

Your use of our services

You agree to the following terms:

  1. You are at the age of majority in your country and are capable of entering into a legal agreement with us. Our content is intended for adults and professionals who work or are interested in working in the fields related to our content. We reserve the right to suspend or ban you if we believe there is a violation of this rule.
  2. You will not maliciously interfere with, hack into, or disrupt our services.
  3. You will not use our platform or content for any malicious, illegal, harmful, or unethical purposes.
  4. You bear full liability for your use of our content. You will not misuse our content and further agree to act ethically, lawfully, and justly at all times while using our content or services.
  5. You will not harass, bully, or alarm the users of this platform by any means.
  6. The content you store, transmit, or post to our platform, public or private, and your usage of our services is subject to review or search if we suspect a violation of our terms.
  7. You will not copy or distribute our content without attribution. You will not use any of our content for commercial purposes without our written consent.

If you violate these terms, depending on the severity of the offense, we may:

  1. Suspend services to your account based on username, email address, or other pseudo-anonymous identifiers.
  2. Delete, edit, or modify the content you post to conform to our terms with or without notice.
  3. Report suspected criminal activity to the relevant authorities without notice to you.
  4. Reprimand you and ask that you do not engage in that behavior again.
  5. Prosecute copyright violations to the fullest extent of the law.

You may not appeal any actions we take at this time.

Affiliate Status

We are NOT currently an affiliate of any product or service, however, we do intend to become one. We will receive commission or other income for the clicks or purchases that occur because of the content or links that we post. We will mark when and where we receive a commission or other income.

Advertising

We may occasionally piolet or include advertisements within our content. We will mark or designate which content is an advertisement. We may use Google advertising services to place ads within our content. Our ads are set to be personalized for our users. We have blocked certain ad categories that we believe should not be shown on our site (sexual content, gambling, etc). If you receive an advertisement that offends, disturbs, or causes some other disruption to your experience on this site please contact us at [email protected] with details, so that we can block that advertising provider. An advertisement means that another business has paid us to place or write specific content about them or for them on our site. You understand that the advertisements we display do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of cyberintelgroup.com or its affiliates unless stated otherwise.

Medical Advice

From time to time we may post content related to in-field medical kits, survival, or related matters. Even though we include citations and disclaimers within the posts themselves these posts are not medical advice and should not be considered medical advice under any circumstance. We are not qualified medical professionals and will never claim to be. You should always consult with a qualified medical practitioner before using any of the information or content within these posts. If you are in an emergency you should contact 911 or whatever emergency helpline is available to you in the country you reside in. You agree and understand that it is up to you to make your medical determinations for yourself and we are not suggesting or representing our content as medical advice.

We reserve all rights and privileges afforded to us under the Copyright Act of 1976 as amended. We may modify these terms, however, all content posted after 04/02/2025 is bound by these terms. We are giving you an express and advanced license to use our content in a private and personal manner. Any use of our content for a commercial purpose is strictly prohibited unless we provide otherwise in writing. We reserve the right to revoke your license if it is being used maliciously, illegally, or in an otherwise harmful manner. Fair-use exceptions apply. It is your responsibility to understand the limitations of fair use. We encourage derivative works even for commercial purposes, however, we ask authors to contact us first and give attribution. The use for academic or research purposes, even if commercial, must disclaim and cite us. We consider parody, opinion, and personal analysis to be fundamental to freedom of speech and we encourage our users to do so. We ask that you clearly state your content is a parody, opinion, or personal analysis, give us clear attribution, and do not represent your work as fact (it should be clear that the work is a parody, opinion, or your analysis of our work). This applies to personal and commercial applications.

Content Disclaimer

You should be aware that our content may contain themes, images, or references that may be offensive, hurtful, or inappropriate in certain contexts and the misapplication or misuse of our content may cause damage, injury, or even death in some situations. Our content is not intended for people under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in the country that you live in). We do not suggest that you apply our content outside of the advice of a professional or in a controlled setting where you have consent from the owner to do such things. We do not suggest nor make the representation that you attempt to use or use our content for malicious, harmful, or illegal purposes. You acknowledge that if you do use our content for malicious, harmful, or illegal purposes your actions are your responsibility. For example, breaking into a building may not only be illegal but also incredibly dangerous. We are here to support professionals in their craft, encourage discussion, spark academic and professional interest, and most importantly ensure there’s visibility and accountability within the industry. Our content can be used for both good and bad, however, our goal to is ensure the “good guys” can defend and protect themselves and others adequately. We will take any representation or tip of your misuse of our content very seriously and prevent your further use. We took an ethical oath to not only act lawfully and justly but also to further the industries we work in, we expect our users to do the same.

Payments

By sending us a payment for goods, services, premium features, premium content, or any other financial transaction, you agree that you are authorized to use the method of payment you are using. You further understand that we are required by law to maintain a record of your transactions with us for tax and other compliance-related purposes. We may share transaction information with third parties for accounting, tax, payment processing, and record-keeping purposes. We may use third-party services to handle transactions on our behalf, you further agree to their terms of use and service.

Returns & Refund policy

We do provide returns and refunds contingent on the following.

As of 04/03/2025, we do not sell any goods therefore, we cannot provide returns.

Refunds

Should you make a donation or other payment to us we may allow for a refund depending on the content, duration, and status of the transaction. We do not automatically issue refunds; however, if we catch or consider a transaction to be made in fraud or error we will refund the transaction and may take other actions under this agreement. We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis, so please email [email protected] (such as invoice or receipt number) with identifying information and the transaction to be refunded. We do not process any refunds 14 days after purchase.

Privacy Compliance

We take privacy seriously, however, operating websites like this one requires that we display ads and track the usage/interest of our content over time. We use features on our site provided by Google that use your IP address and other related factors to determine your approximate location. To remain compliant with GDPR and other US state laws, we require you to consent to certain tracking, advertising, and other analytic services that we may use. If you are using a VPN, proxy, or other similar service we may not be able to accurately determine your location and therefore may not be able to provide you with the privacy protections provided to you under the law. You agree and understand that if you elect to access our service with a VPN, proxy, or other similar service you are voluntarily acquiescing to any privacy right that may have otherwise governed your use of our site and are accepting the privacy terms relevant to what we have determined you are entitled to under law. You understand that we may collect and distribute information about your usage that may not be lawful in the jurisdiction you live in if you attempt to obfuscate the origin of your connection with our services. To preserve the privacy rights you are entitled to, we recommend that you do not connect to our service via a VPN, proxy, or other similar service. Because we passionately defend the right to knowledge we do not disallow VPNs, proxies, or similar services. We understand and acknowledge that some individuals may not have the privilege of free access to information and may use VPNs, proxies, or similar services to protect themselves and their privacy from governmental or political intrusion.

Reporting, Data Leaks, or Whistle Blowing

At our core, we are a platform and community that supports, collects, analyzes, and disseminates information from many sources. We do not represent ourselves as a news or reporting agency nor do we consider ourselves journalists, however, much of our content is research-driven, fact-based (unless otherwise stated), and informative such that we may be legally considered a reporting agency under law. Since what we do is extremely similar to what newspapers, journalists, or others in similar professions do, we will accept information given to us and protect the identities of the people who provide that information to the fullest extent of the law. We are primarily interested in information from cybersecurity researchers that, for whatever reason, are contractually obligated not to disclose but feel that it should be reported on. In any case, we accept all information relevant to cybersecurity, intelligence, and law enforcement. Up to the extent that we feel comfortable, we may accept submissions for information and report on those submissions anonymously, if you submit information to us there’s no guarantee that we’ll report on it. We may also refer this information to other legitimate news sources, journalists, or other similar platforms in a secure manner with the informant’s consent. With the request of our informants, we may limit access to information and publish articles to subscriber-only or premium-only user pages. Informants will not receive a commission, payment, or any other monetary gift or exchange for providing us with information. Please note, that we do not accept nor condone the transmission of classified documents from The United States of America or its allies to us. Mail terms: We will not open mail without a valid return address. We inspect mail for tampering and will not open it if we suspect it has been tampered with. Don’t send anything illegal. Don’t do anything illegal. Packages will be opened and inspected in the post office and a postal inspector/police will be notified immediately if there’s anything illegal, harmful, etc contained. We do not send any mail not even a thank you letter. If you received mail from us, it was not from us. Please discard the mail and/or report the incident to the police/postal inspector. If you would like a response from us, please include a method of contacting you digitally in your mail. We will reach out to you through that method.
